Knowledge Yoga needs devotion Yoga
For any spiritual
person the knowledge and devotion both are equally important.
Without the touch of
devotion your knowledge becomes like criticizing everything. So if you are able
to produce the right balance of knowledge and devotion then this balancing
would make your spiritual journey faster.
Devotion means that you love everything which you see and do
not see, which means you have finished the choice of liking and non liking. Now
you like everything. The time you choose something you differentiate one thing
from another.
So devotion means become choice less completely.
If you want to meet Ishwar then you will have to become
choice less and second way to meet Ishwar is to learn his compliance.
Knowledge and Devotion means –
Devotion means make yourself choice less or zero (shunya).
Knowledge means you learn the compliance of Ishwar to meet this power.
When you use your intelligence and try to reach to Ishwarthen it is called Ghyan Yog(knowledge path). Ghyan Yoga means pure
intelligence. This process takes long time. Very few people can practice this
path.
The people who walk on the path of Bhakti yoga, they keep
chanting the name of their deity and live happily. From ancient time this path
of Yoga has remain important because it seems easy to achieve the excellence in
this path of Yoga.
The path of Gyan (knowledge) yoga is difficult. On this path
you walk with open eyes. On this path whatever decision you take you know the
reason of that.
Emotions have a fast speed. Normally in people speed of
emotions is faster then thoughts. That is why the Bhakti yoga is talked more
then other path of yoga.
Without knowledge, without the right understanding, without
opening the intelligence, if you keep walking on the path of emotions (Bhakti
yoga) then that is also wrong.
Another side, without devotion, the practice of yoga is
baseless.
