There are 28 states and 8 union territories in India (36 entities). So it’s not wrong to call it United States of India.   HinduDharma is the religion which is common among all these states otherwise their culture and language is different. 80 % follow Hindu dharma, 16 % follow Islam and rest 4% includes Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity and Sikhism.
