HINDUISM -The art of living

HINDUISM - The art of living

AUM

Hinduism is a monotheistic religion
The original name of Hinduism is "Sanatan Dharm".
Sanatan means eternal and Dharm means those actions, thoughts and practices that promote physical and mental happiness.

Hindu religion says that there are three external existences -   Soul
                                                                                                Maya
                                                                                                Ishwar

Note -  Ishwar means supreme personality of Godhead which has no form, no shape, it is an energy which runs this world.

Maya(material world) is lifeless power of formless God which also has three qualities -
                                                                                                                   Rajas (Selfish)
                                                                                                                   Tamas (Impious)
                                                                                                                   Sattvic (Pious)

The Universe has two dimensions -  Material
                                                          Celestial

The illusion of finding perfect happiness in this material world(maya) is the cause of soul's reincarnation. The soul, since uncountable life times taking birth into the 8.4 million species of life where it undergoes the consequences of actions. Upon God realization the soul is released from this bondage of Maya(material world) and achieves unlimited Divine Bliss forever.

The divine dimension of Ishwar (formless) lies beyond the field of Maya(material world). This formless energy did a controlled explosion in space from which life of living species came into existence. To give people an object to worship, Indian sages imagined a symbol Shivling (cosmic pillar).

Hinduism has two sections - The ceremonial and the spiritual.

Ceremonial

This section of Hinduism includes image worship, deity worship, devotional songs, rituals chanting the name of Incarnations of Lord Vishnu like Lord Rama and Lord Krishna. This portion of Hinduism has been studied and practiced by the priest cast (Brahmins) of India. In ceremonial form of Hinduism the manifestation of Ishwar is allowed.

Spirituality

This section includes Yoga and Meditation. Formless God, chant the sacred word AUM. This spiritual portion of Hinduism is specially studied by the monks. In spiritual form of Hinduism they believe in FORMLESS POWER (Ishwar).

Hinduism is a monotheistic religion. There is one single power in form of energy that is called Ishwar. This energy runs the world and represents the various aspects of its unlimited blissful charm through many forms likeLord Rama, Lord Krishna.
The descension of Ishwar into the material world (Maya) is called Avatar(Sanskrit word)/Incarnation.

Hindu scriptures also reveal the scientific axioms that are valuable in the research and development of modern science. They reveal the sequences of the procedure of  the following -

1. Creation of Universe (Big Bang Theory)
2. The exact model and the working of the Universe
3. Meditation
4 Aviation
5 As well as the science of defense

Whatever is required by society for daily living, is explained in Hindu scriptures. In India, Hinduism has become national religion by growth unlike of conquest.

The Pantheon of Gods and Goddesses

From the above written information it is very clear that Hinduism is monotheistic religion and the one section of Hinduism (Ceremonial section) allows to do the manifestation of God to do worship. As a human being we need an object to concentrate and meditate. So deity worship came into existence to satisfy the psychological phenomena of human being. Psychiatrists also accept the role of an object in  forming human's  ideas, thoughts and psychology. So Indian sages who were following the Ceremonial Hinduism they presented charismatic personalities of  Indian history, 9600 years before present BYP ( who had mystic powers and behaved for good of society) as incarnation(Avatar)GOD.

Two famous Avatars are Lord Rama (9,600 years before present) YBP
                                        Lord Krishna(5,000 years before present)YBP

Mesolithic age -  (20,000 years before)

Lord Shiva
So 20,000  years before present ancient Indians were practicing yoga and meditation to reach to the supreme personality of Godhead. It was Lord Shiva who founded the Yoga and passed this knowledge to seven saints.Lord Shiva was the first yogi and Astronomer of India. Lord Shiva introduced the Shivling (Cosmic pillar). They had concept of formless God.

Later on Indian sages found that the concentration power of general public is getting weaker and everyone is not able to control the mind which is required for meditation. So Indian sages created another section of Hinduism, ceremonial, so by creating an object general public could also practice concentration and meditation by singing songs of lord at Temple. Ceremonial form of worship is much easier than spirituality(which includes yoga and meditation). So Temples were the place to do meditation not for asking wishes.

Neolithic age - (9600 - 5,500 ybp)

Lord Ram

This was the time when Lord Ram was the king of large kingdom in north India. Lord Rama himself worshiped Lord Shiva and constructed a Shiv temple at  Rameshram in South India.

His life gives social message to society. All Indian families want to have a family like Lord Rama. Hindu families has accepted so many teachings from the book Ramyana (The life of Rama).

Bronze Age - (5300 years ago)

In this time one of the most famous God of India existed. His name was Lord Krishna. Lord Krishna was ruling Dwarka (Modern Gujarat).

His teachings we find in the holy book called BHAGWADGEETA- Song of God.

Lord Krishna started movement against the Vedic demigods. Like Indra
Vedas origin is much older than Lord Krishna's era.

Note- This proves Aryan invasion theory is a fake theory. Aryans did not write Vedas(Hindu's holy book). Vedas were in practice in Indian society from 9600 years before present.

Lord Krishna gave the theory of Karma (Fruitless actions).

In brahminacal period (1000 bce to 500 bce) the concept of different demigods came into existence.
Each concept of Demigod also delivers some social message for general public to save the nature and creation.

Fulfilling the wishes is not the job of God. Temples were the place where general public could train  their mind to reach at higher spiritual level for meditation.  But general public converted this scientific concept into superstition. They started going to the temple for asking wishes like good son, good job, good salary, beautiful wife and many more different wishes. They forgot to follow and practice the social messages which Indian sages wanted to convey them through deity worship.

The great pantheon of Hindu Demigods and goddess is ranging from anthropomorphic symbols and shapes to exotic half human, half animal forms. Each demigod has a personal vehicle and symbols of
power. Each demigod gives a social message. Indian sages wanted to save the nature so they introduced different forms of demigods with amalgamation of nature and animal. To tell people to save the nature and animals to save the world.

1. Ganesha

This elephant headed demigod is son of Lord Shiva, He is worshiped at the start of any auspicious task.

2  Hanuman

The monkey god is invoked by those in need of courage and fortitude.

3. Kali

Wearing a garland of skulls, rampages through creation, annihilating evil. She is patron goddess of many Rajput Kings (warriors) who lived by the swords.

 4 Durga

She rides tiger with her deadly arsenal of weapons and destroys evil. She is fierce persona of the gentle Parwati.

Indian sages knitted the different ideas to save nature and animals which leads to survival of human being, and form into a religion to give a framework to live peacefully. So Hinduism is an art of living which has no do's and don'ts. You can follow any path of worship which leads to same Ishwar.
