Yes, Tajmahal remains crowded on weekends and on holidays. But you can still visit it easily. Please book the tickets online from website of ASI- ASI.NIC one day before. 

Hire a guide in advance who knows the place. 

Don’t bring anything with you at monument which you can eat, chew, smoke or light.
